Spring 2027 Audit (Government and Non-Profit) Internship
Rushton is seeking candidates for their Spring 2027 Audit Internship Program. Candidates are required to be currently enrolled in college pursuing a degree with a major or concentration in accounting. Prefer candidates enrolled in junior or senior year of school or graduate school with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Candidates will have the opportunity to gain real-world experience that will give them insight into the daily tasks and responsibilities of a beginning staff accountant in the firm. Under close supervision, interns perform a variety of entry-level tasks and special projects; assist with audit testing in-office and on-site at client offices while embedded with the full-time audit team; perform data entry functions; work with audit and accounting specific software; track and analyze information; and perform client file imaging tasks.
All internship positions are paid positions. The Spring 2027 Audit Internship program is from the beginning of January through mid-April. Students are required to work 20-30 hours a week.
Requirements for the position:
  • Enrolled in college pursuing degree with a major or concentration in accounting (experience or interest in government and non-profit engagements preferred)
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
  • Ability to work as a team, meet project timelines, proficiently utilize accounting technology, and strong computer skills
  • Availability to work 20-30 hours a week
  • Travel 70% of the time
  • Successful completion of a background check
  • Valid credentials to work in the U.S.
  • All students must provide their own transportation and housing for the duration of the internship
