What You Can Expect:
As an Associate Director, you'll partner with our clients to manage risk associated with their use of technology. You'll develop innovative strategies to solve complex business problems and devise solutions that address client needs using leading practices, data-driven insights, and emerging tools and methodologies. You'll also help develop new business opportunities, expand existing client relationships, and contribute to the growth of our Technology Audit practice. You'll build lasting relationships with clients and within the business community while serving as an ambassador of Protiviti in the market. You will also mentor and develop high-performing teams, provide leadership across engagements, and oversee the successful delivery of project work plans while driving quality, innovation, and exceptional client service.

Demonstrated experience with:
  • Leading teams in implementing IT audit methodologies and developing necessary audit deliverables, including process flows, work programs, audit reports, and control summaries.
  • Commonly used internal control frameworks, including COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS, ITIL, NIST AI RMF, etc.
  • Sarbanes-Oxley Act provisions and methodologies for achieving compliance, in particular the technology implications and requirements.

  • The latest trends and developments in data and technology, including high-growth topics of cybersecurity, cloud, data governance, privacy, analytics, enterprise applications (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics etc.), disaster recovery, systems development methodologies etc.

  • Experience serving clients in the energy and utilities industry.
  • Establishing and cultivating business relationships and a professional network, including with senior executives.

  • Ability to translate and communicate technology topics and audit issues to client personnel, including executives.
  • Handling project management and administrative responsibilities, such as budgeting, invoicing, and project resourcing.
  • Leadership and direct supervisory experience of teams including conducting performance appraisals, mentoring and coaching, oversight and review of work, coordination across teams, and understanding how to motivate.
  • Experience working across different teaming models, including offshore resources, is a plus.

Your Educational and Professional Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or business-related field.)
  • 9+ years working in technology audit, consulting, assurance services, risk and control programs, or related field, either in professional services or industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications. Secondary emphasis on Gen AI tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude, etc.).
  • Professional Certification such as CIA, CRMA, CISA, CISM, CISSP, or similar strongly preferred.

Our Hybrid Workplace
Protiviti practices a hybrid model, which is a combination of working in person with a purpose and working remotely. This model creates meaningful experiences for our people and our clients while offering a flexible environment. The ratio of remote to in-person requirements varies by client, project, team, and other business factors. Our people work both in-person in local Protiviti offices and on client sites, which can include local or out-of-state travel based on our projects and client requests and commitments.
Starting salary is based on a full-time equivalent schedule. Placement in the range is dependent upon experience, skills and geographic work location. Below is the salary range for this job.
$135,000.00 - $229,000.00
Our annual bonus plan provides eligible employees additional cash and/or discretionary stock compensation opportunities. Below is the bonus target opportunity for this job.

Employees are eligible for medical, dental, and vision coverages, FSA and HSA healthcare accounts, life and accident insurance, adoption and fertility assistance, paid parental leave up to 10 weeks, and short/long term disability. We offer eligible employees a company 401(k) savings and investment plan with an employer match of 50% on the first 6% of your contributions. We provide Choice Time Off (CTO) for vacation, personal needs, and sick time. The amount of (CTO) varies based on years of service. New hires receive up to 20 days of CTO per calendar year. Protiviti also recognizes up to 11 paid holidays each calendar year.
