Job description

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) in Bolivar, MO is hiring a Licensed Athletic Trainer to provide athletic training services to area student athletes - someone who leads with skill, compassion, and a drive to positively impact every patient and family we serve.
Position Details
  • Status: PRN
  • Work Shift: Evenings
  • Hours: Varied based on need

What Your Day Looks Like: The Sports Medicine Department provides preventative health services, clinical evaluation and assessment, emergency care, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries or illnesses in the manner and means deemed necessary to restore function to athletes.
As an Athletic Trainer, you will be:
  • Providing medical evaluations, concussion management, and primary injury care at schools and athletic events
  • Establishing good rapport with school officials, students, parents, and others to effectively manage conflict resolution
  • Reviewing sport physicals or clearance forms of athletes for each sport
  • Communicating effectively with coaches, parents, and others regarding student injuries and plans of care
  • Referring athletes to appropriate follow-up care services and treatments

Qualifications
Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Athletic Training
Skills: Patient care, communication skills, teamwork, basic computer skills, ability to work independently, perceptiveness
Licensure/Certification: Certified by the Board of Certification, Inc. as a Certified Athletic Trainer
Physical Requirements: Coordination and manual dexterity, prolonged periods of standing and walking, adaptability to changing schedules and weather environments, ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs., hearing to distinguish between alarms, buzzers, and other audio-detected notifications
