Job Summary
Under general supervision, the Multimedia Content Manager serves as the City's lead multimedia producer, creating compelling visual content that informs, educates, and engages residents. This position is responsible for professional videography, photography, drone operations, podcast production, and multimedia storytelling that supports City communications across digital platforms, social media, websites, presentations, and other communication channels. Working closely with the Communications Director, Media Relations Manager, and Digital Communications Manager, the Multimedia Content Manager develops creative assets from concept through production while documenting City operations, projects, events, and community initiatives. Availability outside normal business hours is required to support meetings, special events, emergency communications, and other City activities. Reports to the Communications Director.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university and three (3) years of experience in a job related field; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Preferred Licenses, Certifications, or Professional Designations
Adobe Creative Suite Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects, Lightroom, or Audition.
Experience with professional camera systems, lighting, audio production, and FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate preferred.
The City of Foley provides excellent benefits including paid health, dental, and life insurance, retirement through State of Alabama Retirement Systems, disability income coverage, paid holidays, vacation, sick leave and annual merit raises. Successful applicants must have a valid driver's license and pass a criminal background check (including driving history), and a pre-employment physical.
The City's group insurance is currently through Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama. The employees' health, vision, hearing and dental premiums are paid in full by the City. The City pays 50% of family coverage. The employee cost for family health, vision and hearing is $67.47 per semi-monthly deduction cycle and dental is $10.00 per semi-monthly deduction cycle. See enclosed booklets in your onboarding plan for coverage details. **NOTE** If family coverage is desired, 2 deductions must be made from check or paid in full prior to effective date of coverage. The total monthly cost for family health and dental coverage is $154.94.
