Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Audio-Visual Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be a key member of our installation teams, responsible for the expert installation, testing, and troubleshooting complex audio-visual systems in high-end residential properties. You will work closely with Project Managers and other technicians to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor junior technicians on installation techniques and best practices.
  • Perform high quality installations of audio-visual systems, including but not limited to: home theaters, distributed audio, video distribution, lighting control, and automation systems. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during and after installation, ensuring optimal system performance.
  • Proficiently program and configure audio-visual equipment from various manufacturers (e.g., Savant Systems, Crestron, Control4, Lutron).
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety regulations at all times.
  • Test and document system performance, providing detailed reports to Project Managers.
  • Work closely with Project Managers to ensure seamless project execution and adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Stay current with the latest AV technologies, industry best practices, and emerging trends.
  • Assist in the training and development of junior technicians.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience as an Audio-Visual Technician in a residential setting.
  • Extensive experience installing and troubleshooting a wide range of AV systems and components.
  • Proven expertise with various automation platforms (e.g., Savant Systems, Crestron, Control4, Lutron).
  • Strong understanding of low-voltage wiring, networking, and IP-based systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
