Job description

We are seeking an experienced Temporary A/V technician to support our client, a large University in Queens, NY.  As an Audio-Visual Technician, you will be responsible for the setup and operation of audio and video equipment including microphones, sound speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, recording equipment, connecting wires and cables, sound and mixing boards, and related electronic equipment for meetings, presentations, and other events. 2 month position that could be extended

Flexibility to work staggered shifts 

Salary Range:    $24 - $29/hr

                                                                                                                                                           

What You'll Do:

  • Install, maintain, and operate AV equipment including projectors, screens, speakers, microphones, video conferencing systems, video monitors, recording equipment, and more.
  • Set up and operate sound systems for events, ensuring proper sound levels and quality.
  • Assist clients in setting up their own equipment and ensuring it works properly.
  • Coordinate with clients and event organizers to determine AV needs and requirements.
  • Support of Crestron video control devices
  • Diagnose and resolve AV equipment issues on-site.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Conduct tests and evaluations of AV equipment to ensure functionality and performance.
  • Provide technical support to clients during events, including assisting with the setup of presentations and troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned

                                                                                                                                                           

What You'll Bring:

  •          Proven experience as an Audio-Visual Technician or similar role. 2-3 years experience
  •       Proficiency with AV equipment and systems.
  •       Knowledge of Crestron control devices
  •       Strong technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
  •       Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  •       Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  •       Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  •       Physical ability to lift and carry heavy equipment.
