Job description

QUALIFICATIONS


High School Diploma/GED or equivalent, knowledge in maintenance/janitorial tasks, skill in problem solving and decision making, skill in written and oral communication, and some knowledge of audio visual equipment.Possess a valid driver's license. Must meet Park Board employment and physical standards, which include a background check as well as drug and alcohol screening. Experience and training which demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and aptitude to perform the defined duties. .

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Represents the CWAC and CPRST brand while greeting visitors and members.
  • Help maintain a professional environment that conforms to CWAC policies as related to safety and cleanliness.
  • Maintains persistent check of safety/maintenance standards to ensure standards are in keeping with CWAC and CPRST Safety Procedures.a
  • Performs general maintenance and upkeep of all areas of the facility including but not limited to locker rooms, common area, offices, fitness, aquatics, gymnasium, walking track, childcare, kitchen, and concessions.
  • The work is typically performed while intermittently sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, or stooping.
  • Position requires lifting of light and heavy objects, climbing ladders, and using tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity.
  • Helps oversee audio/visual equipment during events, if needed.
  • Assists Maintenance Supervisor with maintaining appropriate cleaning supplies inventory.
  • Assists in overseeing all party rental set-ups and breakdown of events including cleaning between parties and special events.a
  • Exhibits a friendly professional demeanor at all times while serving the needs of all members and visitors inquiring about the amenities offered at CWAC.
  • Administers closing responsibilities for CWAC.
  • Attends all meetings as required by supervisors.a
  • Maintains professional internal and external relationships in keeping with CWAC and CPRST core values and customer service standards.
  • Work hours may vary, which will likely include nights, weekends, and some holidays, with hours varying based on time of year, events, and projects
  • Exhibits a high level of professionalism and integrity at all times.
  • Exhibits proficiency in written and oral communication.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisors.


WORKING ENVIRONMENT


The work area is well lighted, ventilated, and heated. Occasionally work outdoors where there is a potential to be exposed to various weather conditions.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS


Work is performed both inside and outside and requires the physical and mental ability to operate a motor vehicle, grounds maintenance equipment, and computer. Work also requires working around heights, heavy lifting, and climbing, standing, bending, and sitting while performing various job duties. Must be able to routinely lift fifty pounds without assistance.
