JOB DESCRIPTION

As the AV Production Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our media team's audio and visual needs. The position is to understand the technical requirements of the audio/visual spaces, manage the studio/shooting area and conference rooms as well as manage, maintain and support the equipment at various locations on and off campus.
You will do this by collaborating with our internal stakeholders to ensure areas are appropriately booked and equipped to support the technology needs of the audio/visual events.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Setting up and breaking down of event equipment and material in a timely and efficient manner
  • Assist with other major events and video projects, including developing new video programming.
  • Assist in running A/V production
  • Coordinate and assist with equipment setup, breakdown, testing of equipment
  • Perform various audio visual related administrative tasks, including making and maintaining equipment lists, tracking equipment warranties
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

EXPERIENCE
  • Able to follow and implement instruction in a fast and professional way
  • Ability to, and experience with, working long, non-traditional hours
  • Ability to collaborate with others in a positive and productive manner
  • Basic understanding of lighting, video, and/or audio equipment
  • Basic understanding and execution of rigging and rigging equipment
  • Basic understanding of cable management, power, and various electrics
  • Comfortable working independently and in a team environment while upholding the company's core values.
