We are seeking a Technology Systems Project Designer to join our team in Raleigh, NC. The ideal candidate will design telecommunications networks, structured cabling systems, audio/visual systems, and electronic security systems for a variety of vertical building projects. This role involves collaborating with senior Technology Systems staff and multidisciplinary project teams to deliver high-quality designs while continuing to grow technical expertise. Strong time management, excellent interpersonal skills, and a proactive approach to learning and problem solving are critical to success in this role.

Requirements
Experience and Education
  • Candidates must have 3-7 years of experience designing telecommunications networks, structured cabling systems, audio/visual systems, and electronic security systems for vertical building projects.
  • Experience in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry is required.
  • An Associate's degree or higher in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Skills
  • Must be proficient in Autodesk Revit, including model setup, linking, navigation, and producing Technology Systems designs from project initiation through completion.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to manage multiple assignments and work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Proficient with MS Office suite of products

Interpersonal Skills
  • Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a positive, proactive approach to problem solving and professional development.
  • Must work effectively with Technology Systems team members, other design disciplines, subconsultants, and clients.

Eligibility

Responsibilities
  • Design telecommunications networks, structured cabling systems, audio/visual systems, and electronic security systems for a variety of projects.
  • Develop and coordinate Revit models and construction documents.
  • Collaborate with senior Technology Systems staff to deliver quality designs and develop technical expertise.
  • Attend client and project meetings to coordinate items related to project scope and design. Approximate travel requirement 10%-15%.
  • Coordinate Technology Systems designs with other engineering and architectural disciplines.
  • Ensure work is completed in accordance with project quality standards, schedules, and budgets.
