Title: A/V Technician II
Location: Bethesda, MD 
Duration: 6 Month Contract-to-hire 
Compensation: $25 - 35/hr w2, conversion Salary $72,000
Work Requirements:
Summary
We are looking for an A/V Technician II to support a Federal government client in Bethesda, MD. This position offers a great opportunity to be part of a high-performing team responsible for supporting a full complement of customer-centric technical support services.
This position currently requires an on-site schedule. Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and resolve AV problems; respond to escalated issues from clients and other support teams; perform triage, provide remote problem resolution when possible.
  • Proficient, accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of audiovisual equipment.
  • Research, recommend, and implement AV hardware and software purchases and configurations to meet client needs
  • Operate AV equipment (e.g. soundboard, presentation laptop, switcher, codec, camera, microphones, Logitech 360 Owls, Logitech MeetingHQ, sound systems.) in support of live and hybrid conferences, seminars, meetings and events.
  • Provide documentation of AV process and equipment for other IT pros or end users.
  • Test and troubleshoot AV equipment in conference spaces to ensure all is in working order.
  • Support connectivity from conference rooms to collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, WebEx
  • May serve as backup to the Deskside Support team as needed.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • Three (3) or more years'' experience providing audio/visual support for conference rooms, including preparing room setups, monitoring and adjusting live feeds for quality control
  • Three (3) or more years'' experience operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting AV systems
  • Experience planning, organizing, and directing AV production activities, ensuring continuity across events
  • Understanding of architectural, cabling, and control system requirements for AV environments
  • Three (3) or more years'' experience with MS Office 365 (Word/Powerpoint/Excel)
  • Experience using ServiceNow or equivalent platform
  • Knowledge of Bomgar or equivalent tool for providing remote support
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written
Desired Qualifications
  • CTS Certification (or other AV certifications)
  • Knowledge or experience with Video Matrix systems and/or AV Switchers, Crestron/ Biamp/ Shure
  • Experience with customer service or hospitality experience
  • Experience in the following:
    • Audio/Video/Digital audio/playback/record systems
    • Video Wall Management & Calibration
    • Advanced Lighting - Dimming and Lighting Controls
    • Channeling of microphones Wireless, Handheld, Lavaliere Microphones
    • Push to Talk Systems
    • 4 -24 Channel Mixers
    • Basic Electrical and Power Distribution
    • Basic networking skills including IP addressing
    • Wireless Networking/Troubleshooting
  • Standard troubleshooting skills related to desktop computer hardware and software
Education
Associates degree
  • A high school diploma (or GED) coupled with an additional 4 years of relevant experience may be substituted for an Associates degree
