The Opportunity: From Tech Support to Teacher Residency Mi Escuela Montessori is looking for a Technology Specialist who is passionate about both high-level technical management and the future of Computer Science (CS) education. This role is unique: you will manage our digital infrastructure while being mentored to become our lead Computer Science Teacher.

If you are a tech-savvy paraprofessional who wants to transition into the classroom in the future, we will support you. We are offering a pathway to Florida Teacher Certification while you gain hands-on experience managing a school digital environment.




Key Responsibilities1. Technical Operations & Inventory
  • Device Management: Act as the administrator for student and staff device onboarding (Laptops, Tablets, and specialized classroom tech).

  • App Management: Manage the deployment and licensing of student educational apps and software platforms.

  • Testing Coordinator Support: Prepare, update, and manage the mobile computer labs for Florida State Testing (FAST) and other standardized assessments.

  • Inventory Control: Maintain a meticulous asset tag system for all school hardware and peripherals.

  • Security and Restrictions: Monitor student computer use and ensure compliance with the school’s CIPA policy

2. Instructional Support & Computer Science
  • Classroom Integration: Push into classrooms to support students and guides in utilizing technology as a tool for research and creation (aligned with the Montessori 2nd and 3rd Planes of Development).

  • CS Curriculum: Assist in facilitating introductory coding, digital citizenship, and computational thinking lessons.
