POSITION CLASSIFICATION: Tenured
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Technology Systems Network Technician - Full-Time supports Tampa Sports Authority's technology infrastructure across TSA-managed facilities. This role provides hands-on support for audio/video systems, low-voltage infrastructure, IT, network, security, telecommunications, and event technology while helping maintain reliable, safe, and efficient technical operations aligned with TSA policies and applicable cybersecurity best practices.
The Technician also assists with oversight of part-time technicians and contractors, supports operational planning, maintains accurate documentation, and contributes to process improvements that strengthen service quality, efficiency, and safety.
POSITION REPORTS DIRECTLY TO: Sr. Facility Manager - Technology/Network
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Install, program, test, maintain, and troubleshoot technology systems, including network infrastructure, structured cabling, AV systems, CCTV/VMS, access control, VoIP, television, and broadcast systems.
  2. Provide Tier 1 IT and network support for staff, including hardware, software, connectivity, and user support issues.
  3. Identify, diagnose, and correct malfunctions involving low-voltage wiring, connected devices, and related technology equipment.
  4. Maintain technology inventory, logs, service records, and related documentation to confirm software currency, equipment condition, maintenance activity, and technical support accuracy.
  5. Assist with network integration of technology systems to support reliable connectivity, security, and system integrity.
  6. Perform regular facility inspections and communicate findings, needs, and recommendations to leadership.
  7. Support events with onsite AV, IT, Telecommunications, and technical setup needs.
  8. Create and code supply requisitions and assist with departmental procurement activities.
  9. Participate in internal and external meetings to support planning, coordination, and information sharing.
  10. Provide budget input related to technology equipment, maintenance, and operational needs.
  11. Promote teamwork, service excellence, and continuous improvement through employee initiatives and daily operations.
  12. Stay current with technology trends, industry standards, and best practices through training, trade shows, and association involvement.
  13. Follow OSHA regulations, ADA standards, cybersecurity guidance, and applicable Authority policies to maintain a safe and respectful work environment.
  14. Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned.

  15. Extensive hands-on knowledge of Audio / Video technology, CCTV/VMS, electronic security and access control, computer systems, networking, structured cabling, electrical principles, and National Electrical Code requirements.
  16. Ability to read building diagrams and follow event setup instructions.
  17. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate professionally in English.
  18. Knowledge of CPR and ability to use an AED.
  19. Ability to walk or stand for extended periods, lift 50+ lbs., and work in non-climate-controlled environments.
  20. Ability to operate maintenance equipment, including forklifts and scissor lifts.
  21. Professional demeanor, positive attitude, and ability to maintain a strong public image while serving clients and guests.
  22. Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, on-call rotations, and urgent response needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. High school diploma or GED required.
  2. Valid driver's license required.
  3. Completion of a two-year technical education program in a relevant field, or equivalent experience at a ratio of 2 years of experience = 1 year of technical education.
  4. Thorough knowledge of either audio / video, computer systems, networking, access control, and CCTV maintenance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Prior experience supporting technology operations in a large venue, stadium, arena, or public facility environment.
  2. Demonstrated knowledge of Audio / Video, CCTV/VMS, low-voltage electrical systems, IT support, and network systems maintenance and repair.
  3. Thorough knowledge of computer and network systems.
