Miller Electric is seeking motivated candidates for a fulltime Senior Project Associate role, which includes enrollment in our industryleading Project Management Apprenticeship Program. This yearlong program provides continuous learning and handson development designed to kickstart your career in Construction Project Management.

As a Senior Project Associate & Apprentice, you will report directly to a project leader in a clientfacing role that requires strong relationshipbuilding skills both in and out of the office. Your core responsibility is to learn through onthejob experience, peertopeer engagement, and technical training while supporting your project team.

This is an evergreen job posting intended to build a pipeline of qualified candidates for future openings. Qualified candidates will be contacted to interview, but not necessarily placed immediately.

 
  • Understand Miller Electric’s service-based approach to the electrical project management process.
  • Begin building long term relationships with your clients and fellow employees by earning trust through diligent communication and high-quality work ethic.
  • Support the generation of estimates and proposals to support your team in winning new work, establishing procedures, and scheduling timelines.
  • Develop a strong electrical/material vocabulary and understanding of job site etiquette.
  • Work with your team to ensure the project is built in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.
  • Collaborate with your field leaders to confirm client expectations and coordination with your subcontractors and other trades.
  • Assess construction progress, team needs, and issues through regular project visits with your field supervision. 
  • Work with vendors to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials.

REQUIRED
  • Bachelor's degree or IBEW licensed electrician
  • Strong computer & Microsoft 365 skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Commitment to developing time management and organizational skills
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on learning environment
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship. Employment-based visa sponsorship (including H-1B sponsorship) is not available for this position.
PREFERRED
  • Project management experience
  • Experience working in the construction industry
  • Familiar with computer-based estimating
  • Understanding of billing and collections
