The Role:

The AV & Gaming Equipment Support Specialist is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of gaming, broadcast, audiovisual, and technical infrastructure across live gaming studios and related operational environments.

This role combines hands-on technical support with process improvement and innovation initiatives. Approximately 50% of the role is dedicated to operational support and risk mitigation across gaming studios, while the remaining 50% focuses on system optimization, equipment enhancements, preventive maintenance programs, and technical development projects.

The ideal candidate is a technically skilled, proactive problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of operational integrity, equipment performance, and service reliability.

Responsibilities:

Gaming Equipment Operations & Support

  • Partner with Shift Managers and Operations teams to ensure gaming integrity, equipment reliability, and regulatory compliance.
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair gaming tables and associated equipment.
  • Perform assembly, deployment, relocation, and decommissioning of gaming-related hardware.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, equipment history, and performance metrics.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and technical support providers regarding gaming equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Provide timely status updates, issue reporting, and escalation when necessary.
  • Minimize operational downtime through rapid diagnosis and implementation of effective solutions.
  • Ensure all gaming equipment complies with applicable regulatory requirements, safety standards, and company procedures.
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage deployment, storage, and lifecycle tracking of equipment assets.

Roulette Systems Maintenance

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on roulette wheels and associated systems.
  • Conduct wheel exchanges, leveling, calibration, sensor adjustments, and performance verification.
  • Maintain communication pathways between roulette systems and server infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to nano-pullers, ports, table PCs, software configurations, and system connectivity.
  • Escalate complex technical issues through established support channels.
  • Maintain detailed maintenance logs and technical documentation for all roulette equipment.

Shuffle Machine Support

  • Perform shuffle machine installation, exchange, maintenance, cleaning, and repairs.
  • Coordinate with manufacturers and technical support teams for advanced troubleshooting and service requirements.
  • Ensure optimal operational performance and reliability of all card-shuffling equipment.

Studio Equipment & Facilities Support

  • Maintain gaming table accessories, including shoes, scanners, discard holders, and related equipment.
  • Ensure table felts are maintained and replaced in accordance with regulatory and internal standards.
  • Respond to technical emergencies and critical operational incidents.
  • Perform occasional technical fabrication and repair work, including soldering and basic carpentry tasks.
  • Assist with equipment transportation, loading/unloading, and installation projects.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned to support business operations.

Audio Visual & Broadcast Systems

  • Collaborate closely with Live Dealer AV teams to support studio technology infrastructure.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot broadcast and AV systems.
  • Support technologies including:
    • Video routers
    • Digital signal processors (DSPs)
    • Video encoders and decoders
    • Broadcast cameras
    • Audio systems
    • Lighting systems
    • LED wall displays
  • Assist with studio setup, equipment replacement, system upgrades, and performance optimization.
  • Perform WIMD camera position corrections and calibrations for Live Dealer gaming tables.
  • Analyze and resolve technical faults affecting broadcast quality and system performance.

Infrastructure & Systems Support

  • Assist in monitoring and maintaining the Intermediate Distribution Facility (IDF) and server room infrastructure.
  • Support power distribution systems, UPS equipment, and backup power solutions.
  • Implement and maintain redundancy strategies to improve operational resilience.
  • Assist in the development and enhancement of monitoring and alerting systems.
  • Participate in infrastructure improvement projects and technical innovation initiatives.

      Physical/Mental Requirements:

      • The successful candidate must be able to:

        • Stand, walk, bend, reach, lift, carry, and move equipment for extended periods.
        • Perform fine motor tasks requiring hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
        • Lift and transport moderately heavy equipment safely.
        • Work efficiently in fast-paced operational environments.
        • Analyze technical problems and make sound decisions under pressure.
        • Maintain a high level of concentration and attention to detail.
        • Perform mathematical calculations accurately and efficiently.
        • Follow detailed procedures while maintaining regulatory compliance and operational accuracy.

      Audio Visual:

      • Work closely with the Live Dealer AV specialist groups regarding AV setup, configurations, and replacements equipment.
      • Setup and maintenance of Broadcast Technologies such as video routers, digital signal processors, video encoders, cameras, audio, lighting, and LED Walls.
      • Setup, maintain and monitor the IDF (Server Room).
      • Manage and maintain power system, UPS, and backup power system.
      • Analyzing and repairing technical faults on equipment and systems.
      • Improve and maintain redundancy and monitoring solutions.
      • WIMD camera position correction for the Live Dealer tables

      Working Conditions:

      • Primarily indoor, climate-controlled work environment
      • Combination of independent work and team collaboration
      • 40-hour work week
      • Schedule includes weekends, evenings, overnight shifts, and on-call support as required

      License Requirements:

      • Rhode Island Operations Gaming License Rhode Island State DBR

      Qualifications:

        • Basic Microsoft Server administration and maintenance experience
        • Strong knowledge of computer hardware installation, diagnostics, repair, and troubleshooting
        • Understanding of network infrastructure and network architectures
        • Mechanical aptitude and proficiency with common hand and power tools
        • Knowledge of electronics, electrical systems, and technical principles
        • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
        • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and perform effectively under pressure
        • Excellent communication and documentation skills
        • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
        • Strong organizational, planning, and forecasting capabilities

        Preferred

        • Experience with video broadcast systems and studio production environments
        • Knowledge of lighting systems and lighting control technologies
        • Experience with audio processing, signal routing, and audio equipment
        • Experience supporting gaming, casino, or regulated operational environments
        • Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and asset management systems

      Target Hourly Range: $31.25 - $36.00 /Hour
