Position Overview

This position works in the receiving (REC), bulk shipping, and dangerous goods area in Materials Management. You will be receiving, sorting, and stocking incoming product. You will be shipping bulk products to internal & external customers and processing Dangerous Goods (DG) and Export (EEI) Shipments.

  • Read, comprehend, and adhere to written work instructions, SOP’s, etc.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and records with integrity to maintain inventory accuracy

  • Pick and put away to company standards and perform cycle counting as required

  • Able to use inventory system to adjust/update inventory quantities and locations

  • Use R/F Scanner

  • Verify materials/products received match respective packing list and purchase order (REC)

  • Perform Purchase Order Receipts and associated material transfers & put aways (REC)

  • Compare purchase orders with invoices and package lists (REC)

  • Enter transactions into business system, identify material and stage in designated area (REC/DG)

  • Prepare intercompany product shipments, process in business system and schedule with carrier for routing (REC/DG)

  • Prepare and process all miscellaneous shipments as requested thru various departments within the company as required (REC/DG)

  • Monitor and respond to email requests (REC/DG)

  • Pick, pack, consolidate, ship, & prepare all export documents for inter-company shipments (DG)

  • Use online carrier websites to process export and DG shipments (DG)

  • Use ACE website for filing Electronic Export Information (EEI) for required tariff values (DG)

  • Prepare & ship Dangerous Goods (Hazmat) shipments according to carrier guidelines and transportation regulations (DG)

Competencies (Knowledge and Skills needed for this position)

  • Read, Write, and Speak English

  • Basic computer/scanner experience

  • Organizational and time management skills

Desired Qualifications

Preferred Education:

  • High School Diploma/GED

Physical Demands: Able to stand or sit for long periods of time. Able to lift 25 pounds by self and 50+ pounds with a team lift (i.e. sitting, standing, lifting, bending, reaching, etc)

Compensation: Depending on your work location, the target hourly rate for this position can range from $21.00 - $25.50. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus. Compensation for roles at GN depend on a wide array of factors including but not limited to location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
