The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with low-voltage rough-in, trim-out, cable pulling, termination, testing, and labeling. You do not need to know every system we install. If you have good low-voltage fundamentals, take pride in your work, work well with others, and are willing to learn, we will provide training to help you develop your skills.
This position is primarily within our residential division, working in both new construction and existing homes. There may also be opportunities to assist our commercial division on projects in existing buildings and new construction.
As your knowledge and abilities grow, you'll have the opportunity to take on more responsibility and advance within the company.
What You'll Be Working On
Our technicians install and service a variety of low-voltage and technology systems, including:
  • Audio systems
  • TVs and related A/V equipment
  • Surveillance and camera systems
  • Security systems
  • Control4 home automation
  • Network and Wi-Fi systems
  • LED lighting systems
  • Access Control

Experience with all of these systems is not required. We are looking for someone with strong low-voltage fundamentals who wants to expand their knowledge and abilities.
What We're Looking For
  • Approximately 1-3 years of hands-on low-voltage or structured wiring experience
  • Experience with residential low-voltage rough-ins and trim-outs
  • Experience pulling, routing, terminating, testing, and labeling low-voltage cable
  • Familiarity with cable types such as Cat5e, Cat6, coax, 22/2, 22/4, 16/2, 16/4, 18/4, 18/6
  • Comfortable using common hand and power tools
  • Ability to follow plans, instructions, and job-site requirements
  • Ability to work independently when appropriate and as part of an installation team
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Dependable, punctual, and willing to work
  • Takes pride in doing clean, professional-quality work
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well with coworkers, customers, builders, and other trades

Additional Experience Is a Plus
Experience in any of the following is helpful, but not required:
  • Audio/video equipment installation
  • Control4 or other home automation systems
  • Security systems, including Honeywell or DSC
  • Surveillance cameras and NVR systems
  • Network and Wi-Fi equipment
  • LED lighting and lighting controls
  • Commercial low-voltage installations

What We Value
We're looking for more than someone who can just pull cable. We want someone who:
  • Shows up ready to work
  • Is willing to learn
  • Takes pride in their workmanship
  • Works well with the rest of the team
  • Can take direction and apply what they've learned
  • Wants to improve their skills and take on more responsibility
  • Is interested in growing with the company

If you already have a good foundation in the low-voltage industry but want the opportunity to learn more, this could be a great next step in your career.
Job Requirements
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Ability to safely use ladders, hand tools, and power tools
  • Ability to perform the physical duties associated with low-voltage installation and construction environments
  • Some travel may be required

Ready to Grow Your Low Voltage Career?
If you have hands-on low-voltage experience, understand the fundamentals of rough-in and trim-out work, and are looking for a company where you can learn new technologies, develop your skills, and grow into a more advanced technician role, we'd like to hear from you.
