This is an excellent opportunity for engineers who are passionate about audio, embedded software, and emerging AI-powered development tools. You will work alongside experienced engineers to develop audio algorithms, design and optimize embedded firmware, bring up new hardware platforms, and deliver high-quality audio solutions. The ideal candidate is curious, hands-on, and eager to learn modern software engineering practices, including the effective use of AI-assisted development tools to accelerate productivity and improve software quality.## Responsibilities* Develop, optimize, and deploy embedded software and device drivers for ADI audio ICs.* Implement, test, and debug audio software and firmware on embedded platforms.* Assist with audio system integration and bring-up on Linux, Windows, Android, and embedded platforms.* Develop automated tests, validation frameworks, and audio test procedures.* Investigate and resolve software and system issues with guidance from senior engineers.* Collaborate with hardware, DSP, systems, applications, and customer engineering teams to deliver high-quality audio solutions.* Use modern software development practices, including source control, code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration workflows.* Leverage AI-assisted engineering tools (such as Claude, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, and similar coding agents) to accelerate software development, debugging, test generation, documentation, and code reviews while applying sound engineering judgment and verification practices.* Continuously learn new technologies and contribute to improving development processes and engineering productivity.## Basic Qualifications* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.* Experience in embedded software, firmware, or audio software development through academic projects, internships, research, or industry experience.* Programming experience in C/C++ and Python.* Familiarity with software development tools and workflows, including Git and modern IDEs.* Basic understanding of embedded systems, operating systems, or computer architecture.* Interest in using AI-assisted software development tools to improve engineering productivity.* Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.* Good communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills.## Preferred Qualifications* Embedded Linux or RTOS development* ALSA audio drivers* Digital Signal Processing (DSP)* Android Audio Framework* GUI application development* Audio interfaces such as I2S, TDM, USB Audio, PDM, or PCM* Automated testing and CI/CD environments* Git, GitHub, GitLab, or other version control systems* AI-assisted software development workflows, prompt engineering, agentic coding tools, or automated code generation and validation techniques* Audio tuning, acoustic measurement, or audio signal analysis tools## What You'll Learn* Embedded audio software architecture and development* Modern DSP and audio processing technologies* Hardware/software system integration* Professional software engineering and code review practices* Effective and responsible use of AI-assisted engineering tools in real-world product development* Cross-functional product development in a collaborative engineering environment## Recommended AI Competency RequirementDemonstrated ability to utilize AI-assisted software development tools to accelerate coding, debugging, testing, and documentation while maintaining high standards for code quality, correctness, security, and engineering judgment.*For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
