OVERVIEW

The Audio Editor role is responsible for shaping the sonic experience of In Touch Ministries’ content through high-quality audio editing, sound design, and mixing. This position supports the creation of compelling, clear, and engaging audio across a variety of platforms and formats.

This role collaborates closely with producers, directors, and cross-functional teams throughout the storytelling process. Responsibilities include editing, enhancing, and delivering audio assets that align with creative vision, technical standards, and the mission of the ministry.

Requirements:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Perform audio restoration, editing, mixing, and mastering across various content types and internal communications
· Build soundscapes and enhance storytelling through thoughtful sound design, particularly in short-form content
· Create high-quality, dynamic audio deliverables that meet ministry production standards
· Support voice-over sessions, interviews, podcasts, and talent recordings
· Capture clean, high-quality production audio in studio and on-location environments using field recording techniques
· Maintain organized audio workflows including session management, file organization, version control, archiving, and deliverables
· Collaborate with producers, directors, and project leads to execute audio aligned with creative intent
· Troubleshoot audio issues and ensure consistency and quality across all deliverables
· Contribute to process improvement by adopting modern workflows, tools, and AI-assisted audio practices
· Support team members and cross-functional partners as needed

WORK SCHEDULE

Part-time position (approximately 24 hours per week) with flexibility based on production needs.
Work arrangement may be on-site, remote, or hybrid depending on project requirements. Some travel may be required.


IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of professional experience in audio editing, sound design, or audio engineering for visual media
• Proficiency in Pro Tools, Logic Pro, and modern audio plug-in ecosystems
• Strong understanding of signal flow, microphones, recording techniques, gain staging, and audio processing
• Experience with audio repair, noise reduction, mixing, and mastering
• Experience recording in studio, office, remote, and field environments
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to excellence
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
