~ Are you looking to be a part of our innovative and creative team?  We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Full-Time, Regular Lab Technician 1 who wants to join 64 Audio and make an immediate impact! ~


About the Role:


The Lab Technician 1 is an entry-level Production role, responsible for using various hand-held tools and specialized computer software to assemble IEMs (In Ear Monitors) and meet regular production goals. This role reads detailed instructions to ensure products are created efficiently and correctly. In addition, the Lab Technician 1 conducts regular Quality Control on the assembled IEMs by analyzing them to ensure any issues are dealt with accordingly before sending them to the Shipping team. This position requires approximately 40 hours per week, with working hours between 7am - 3:30pm (actual shift hours may vary depending on department need).


Key responsibilities may include a variety of tasks from the following list of general Lab Technician duties:

  • Assemble Apex modules
  • Apply UV curable acrylic into engraved serials. 
  • Visually inspect inside of shells for contamination
  • Print Case Labels using a UV Printer and Laser Engraver
  • Apply tubes and filters to speakers/drivers
  • Test and sort Drivers/Speakers
  • Solder crossover components and driver sets 
  • Run SLA Acrylic 3D Printers 
  • Manufacture standard faceplates
  • Apply speciality faceplates
  • Assemble Universal earphones
  • Prep shells and earplugs using a micromotor for the lacquer step
  • Polish and sandblast Shells and Faceplates using a combination of a micromoter, buffing lathe, and sandblasting units
  • Count various materials for inventory cycle counts

Requirements:

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • MUST BE LOCATED WITHIN DRIVING DISTANCE OF VANCOUVER, WA
  • Passion for electronics, fine-detail assembly work, etc. 
  • At least 2 years of work experience in electronics assembly or relevant industry - preferred
  • Experience using small hand tools (i.e., buffing lathes, soldering irons and small blades) - highly preferred
  • Proven track record of reliability: excellent attendance, punctuality, and dependability - required
  • High attention to detail
  • Proactive and solution-driven mindset
  • Excellent interpersonal skills - including verbal and written communication
  • Strong dexterity and fine motor skills
