Job description

About the Role
CatFace is a YouTube entertainment company behind the Aphmau brand and a family of channels with 24+ million subscribers and roughly 450 million monthly views. We produce multiple original narrative videos every week across Minecraft, Roblox, and other formats for kids and young adult audiences.
We're hiring a Post Production Manager to own our post pipeline end to end - from raw footage to final delivery - across a high volume, fast-turnaround release schedule. You'll manage a team of editors and be the person who makes sure quality and deadlines aren't a tradeoff.
What You'll Do
  • Own the post-production pipeline from ingest through final delivery, keeping quality and deadlines on track across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Manage and mentor a team of in-house and contract editors - assigning work, giving feedback, and developing their skills.
  • Build and refine workflows, templates, and file/asset management systems that scale with a high-volume daily release cadence.
  • Partner with producers and showrunners to protect creative intent through the edit without derailing schedules.
  • Track project timelines, budgets, and freelancer/contractor resourcing; flag and resolve bottlenecks before they become late deliveries.
  • Evaluate and introduce new tools or techniques (e.g. proxy workflows, automation) that improve speed, quality and organization..
  • Maintain delivery standards and specs for YouTube (including Shorts) and ensure final files meet platform requirements.
  • Review videos giving constructive feedback.
  • Communicate the status of the team to higher leadership effectively

What You Bring
  • 5+ years in post-production, with at least 2 years directly managing editors or a post team - high-volume, fast-turnaround environments (YouTube, social, unscripted, or similar) strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on fluency with Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects; working knowledge of Pro Tools or comparable audio tools.
  • A track record of building or improving post workflows - not just following existing ones.
  • Comfortable owning schedules and budgets, and communicating tradeoffs clearly to producers and leadership.
  • Strong eye for pacing, story, and quality bar appropriate for kids/YA content.
  • Bachelor's degree in film, digital media, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Nice to Have
  • Familiarity with Minecraft or Roblox content creation - gameplay mechanics, community trends, or platform-specific production quirks.
  • Experience with YouTube analytics, content policy, and platform best practices.

Compensation & Logistics
  • Salary range: $80,000 - $90,000 based on experience.
  • Location: Austin, TX - onsite
  • Relocation assistance provided
  • Reports to: Director of Production
  • Some weekend work
