Job description

We are seeking a talented Screenwriter based in the Houston area to help develop a feature film inspired by a remarkable true story of perseverance, entrepreneurship, family, and the American Dream.

This is an opportunity to work on a character-driven story with strong emotional depth, authentic cultural experiences, and cinematic storytelling.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the creative team to develop and refine the screenplay.
  • Adapt existing source material into a compelling feature film script.
  • Develop engaging characters, dialogue, and story structure.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and script revisions.
  • Work closely with producers to bring the creative vision to life.

Qualifications:

  • Experience writing feature film or television screenplays.
  • Strong storytelling, dialogue, and character development skills.
  • Ability to adapt real-life events into a cinematic narrative.
  • Familiarity with screenplay formatting and industry standards.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work collaboratively.
  • Houston-based or willing to work regularly with our Houston team.

Preferred:

  • Produced screenplay(s) or screenplay competition recognition.
  • Experience with biographical, drama, or inspirational stories.
