What does an audio post production engineer do?

An Audio Post Production Engineer is responsible for editing, mixing, and mastering audio tracks for film, television, video games, and other media projects after the initial recording has been completed. Their work includes cleaning up dialogue, adding sound effects, balancing audio levels, and ensuring that the final sound meets the project's creative and technical requirements. They use specialized software and equipment to deliver polished, professional-quality audio that enhances the overall production. Collaboration with directors, producers, and sound designers is common to achieve the desired result.
