Who you are:

We are looking for amazing talent who can contribute to our efforts and deliver results! Geotab is seeking an intern who will immediately contribute to the organization and the Video team's efforts. If you love technology, are interested in storytelling, are well organized, and are keen to join an industry leader - we would love to hear from you!

What you'll do:

As a Video Production Intern, you will be integral to creating impactful marketing and promotional videos. Your role will involve supporting all stages of production, from assisting with video and audio recording to editing final content based on team feedback. You will apply your keen attention to detail to manage our digital video library, collaborate on new concepts in team brainstorms, and work closely with the Marketing team and other Geotab departments.

To succeed in this role, you must be a proactive self-starter with excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of the video production process. The ideal candidate has a meticulous eye for detail, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrates a passion for developing creative solutions.

The opportunity:

How you'll make an impact:
  • Assist with all stages of video production, including on-set filming, lighting, and audio support.
  • Edit a variety of video projects, incorporating feedback from Manager and Stakeholders.
  • Create new compelling animations based on the brand guidelines.
  • Manage post-production timelines to ensure high-quality, on-time delivery of all projects.
  • Organize and maintain the team's digital asset library and project archives.
  • Ingest, log, and prepare raw footage for the post-production pipeline.
  • Support the distribution of final videos across various marketing and internal channels.
  • Conduct regular equipment checks and manage the repair logging process.
  • Research and report on emerging trends in AI, video technology, and visual design.
What you'll bring to the role:
  • Completing a University degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma Specialization in Television Broadcast Journalism, Film Production, cinematography or a related field.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills, as well as a willingness to learn and strong work ethic.
  • Proficiency or willingness to learn Adobe video editing products (Premier Pro, After Effects...)
  • A good understanding of Social Media channels.
  • Self-starter who can move quickly to get the job done, even without explicit requirements and direction.
  • Passion for AI, technology and innovation.
