Job description

Position: Audio Visual Systems Engineer Supported Program: U.S. Army Fires Center of Excellence Clearance Requirement: DoD Secret Location: On-site at Fort Sill, OK Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Audio Visual Systems Engineer to provide Information Technology (IT) and Knowledge Management services for the Fire Center of Excellence, Fort Sill (USAFCOEFS) and its subordinate organizations. The successful candidate will provide Audio, Visual, Lighting and Videoconferencing (AVL-VC) support for around 425 classrooms, conference rooms and auditoriums to ensure all equipment is operational and required maintenance is being performed. Core Responsibilities & Technical Qualifications * Develop plan for post wide AVL-VC systems sustainment, operations, and enhancements to include conceptual design and cost estimates. * Participate in planning meetings for large special events to determine user AVL-VC requirements. Requirements will be used to develop event support plans for COR review. * Configure AV systems and equipment such as Crestron, AMX, Extron, Biamp, matrix mixers and switchers. * Troubleshoot wired or wireless data networks to support AVL-VC systems. Develop problem statements that will be provided to network support staff for resolution as required. * Perform Needs Assessment Analysis and site surveys for technology systems with organizations post wide. Create conceptual design and cost estimates from initial needs assessment analysis. Work with G6 to provide technical information so that a Request for Quote can be created for required technology system. Provide technical support to engage Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC) and assist with oversight of technology systems projects or upgrades to existing systems.. * Create SharePoint tickets for each classroom issue reported. Create FCP tickets and AESMP tickets as needed to resolve issues reported. Provide monthly reports of work completed or work pending completion. * Sustain and operate Senior Leadership AVL-VC systems to perform as designed at all times. Repair within 5 working days of notification or obtain approved delay of repair pending additional guidance Education and Experience Requirements Candidates must meet the following education and experience. Education must be in a directly related IT discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer/Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, or Computer Forensics/Security). * Minimum of 10 years of experience with the design, development, implementation, installation, operations and sustainment of AVL-VC systems for large and small facilities. * 10+ years of verifiable Digital Sound Processor (DSP), Digital Projection and Digital display, Control Systems Equipment Installation and Operations experience. * BA/BS in a technology related field desired but is not required. * Must have the physical ability to walk, stand, kneel, squat, bend, lift and push while performing various job tasks * Must be physically able and comfortable working at heights (catwalks, lifts, etc.), in dimly lit venues, and around restricted/tight spaces when necessary. Ability to lift and transport moderately heavy equipment (up to 50 pounds). * Ability to read and understand architectural plans and schematic line drawings.
