Audio/LV Lab Technician – Audio Systems & Product Assembly


Hazelwood Labs | Columbia, TN

$25–$35/hour, depending on experience


Hazelwood Labs is a boutique audio integrator and product company specializing in commercial and residential music systems and handmade audio products that combine beautiful aesthetics, craftsmanship, and tactile control.


We’re seeking an Audio/LV Lab Technician to work from our headquarters in downtown Columbia, Tennessee. Candidates should live in or around Columbia, or be willing to commute regularly for this on-site position.


This is a hands-on technical role for someone who enjoys building things well, solving problems, and taking ownership of a workspace and its systems.


Responsibilities


* Build, wire, label, and test professional audio and low-voltage equipment racks

* Assemble and wire custom audio components and products

* Program and configure audio, control, and network equipment

* Stage and test systems prior to installation

* Manage equipment inventory and project staging

* Handle shipping and receiving

* Maintain an organized and efficient Lab environment

* Assist with retail sales from our Columbia storefront

* Support technical documentation and system drawings as skills allow

* Help develop and improve internal build, staging, and testing processes


Qualifications

A strong candidate will be:

Experience with professional AV/LV systems, electronics, soldering, fabrication, AutoCAD, technical drawing, AV programming, networking, or system commissioning is a strong plus.


Professional AV/LV experience is preferred, but we’re equally interested in candidates with strong technical aptitude, excellent workmanship, and the ability to learn quickly.


Position


This position will begin part-time with the intention of developing into a full-time role. An immediate full-time position may be considered for someone with an exceptional and well-rounded technical skill set.


Compensation: $25–$35/hour, depending on experience and technical capabilities.
