Job description

Mills James is looking for an energetic and service-focused Audiovisual (AV) Technician to join our growing Cincinnati Live Events team. In this role, you will help deliver high-quality live meetings and corporate events by supporting the setup, operation, and breakdown of audiovisual equipment.

What You’ll Do

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential functions listed below, with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Support the setup, operation, and strike of audiovisual equipment for meetings and corporate events
  • Collaborate with onsite event staff and team members to ensure events run smoothly and exceed client expectations
  • Deliver exceptional client service in a hospitalityfocused environment
  • Assist with audio, video, lighting, and presentation systems used during meetings and events
  • Troubleshoot basic technical issues quickly and efficiently
  • Maintain and organize AV equipment inventory
  • Perform routine maintenance on audiovisual equipment
  • Communicate equipment repair or replacement needs to the Mills James Logistics Manager
  • Provide direction or support to additional event staff when assigned

  • Basic knowledge of audio, video, lighting, and computer systems used for meetings and events
  • Understanding of AV signal flow

  • Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong troubleshooting ability
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to drive cargo vans or box trucks when required
  • Availability to work early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends based on event schedules
  • At least one year of experience in the audiovisual or live events industry
