Job description

Who we are looking for:

Our CDL drivers make short and long-distance trips around the US delivering and picking up trucks, trailers, equipment and cars as needed by the auction.

What you will do:

  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Obeying and following applicable traffic laws as well as Federal DOT rules and regulations
  • Maintaining a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Ensuring any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving
  • Maintaining trucks to DOT and Indiana Auto Auction standards
  • The ability to climb up and down on your truck as necessary
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
  • Other duties as assigned

What you will need:

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Must have a valid Class A (No Automatic Only Endorsement) CDL license and have a current and valid DOT physical.
  • Must be capable of properly completing ELD’s
  • Must be capable of operating automatic and manual transmissions
  • Valid CDL license
  • Must be willing to learn, and use online payroll systems for time keeping
  • Must be able to lift trailer ramps, chains & binders, cribbing
  • Must be able to lift batteries if replacement required
  • Must be able to top off fluids
  • Must be able to climb up and down 20-30 trucks for sale day
  • Must be willing to fly commercially as needed by the auction
  • Must be willing to go on occasional overnights
  • Must be willing to work occasional weekends

Compensation: $18.00 per hour. In addition, this position is eligible for additional compensation pursuant to ACV’s incentive compensation plan. Please note that final compensation will be determined based upon the applicant's relevant experience, skillset, location, business needs, market demands, and other factors as permitted by law.
