About the role
At Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. (QPWB), success starts with people. We are currently seeking Attorneys with experience in Nursing Home and/or Medical Malpractice litigation to join our Atlanta office.
This full-time position is an excellent opportunity for litigators looking to expand their practice, gain hands-on experience in complex medical defense cases, and work in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment. Attorneys with a strong litigation background but without direct medical malpractice experience will also be considered.

Your Role: Attorney - Nursing Home & Medical Malpractice Defense
As an Attorney in our Nursing Home and Medical Malpractice Defense practice, you will play a key role in handling complex healthcare litigation matters. Your responsibilities include:
Case Strategy & Litigation Management: Evaluating case findings and developing strategic defense arguments for trial.
Client Counseling & Risk Assessment: Advising clients on litigation risks, case strategy, and legal obligations.
Courtroom & Mediation Advocacy: Preparing for and attending hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
Legal Research & Writing: Drafting legal motions, discovery responses, and trial documents to support client defense strategies.
Discovery & Case Preparation: Conducting medical record reviews, working with expert witnesses, and building strong case strategies.
What You Bring
To excel in this role, you should have:
Experience:
  • 3-5+ years of experience handling Nursing Home and/or Medical Malpractice defense litigation preferred.
  • Attorneys with a strong litigation background but without prior medical malpractice experience will also be considered

Legal Knowledge & Skills:
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while managing complex litigation matters.

Education & Licensure:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in Georgia and in good standing with the Florida Bar.
