LGPI's services have since transitioned to LCOG, now operating as Local Government Personnel Services (LGPS).Under LCOG's umbrella, LGPS continues LGPI's mission, offering essential HR and Labor Relations support to local governments statewide and ensuring these services remain accessible, effective, and responsive to the needs of Oregon's public agencies.About the LGPS Legal Services Consultant PoolLCOG is seeking qualified Employment and Labor Relations Attorneys interested in joining our LGPS Attorney Consultant Pool. The work is highly independent and requires professional level representation of self and organization.HOURLY RATE: to be negotiated based on project requirements.Minimum QualificationsExperienceAbility to articulate skill and experience practicing employment or labor law, preferably representing or advising public-sector clients.Demonstrated experience and understanding of collective bargaining negotiations and agreement interpretation, grievance arbitration, labor mediation, employment policy development, or workplace investigations.Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to manage multiple projects independently.EducationJuris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.LicensureActive membership in good standing with the Oregon State Bar (or ability to obtain reciprocity within six months of engagement).For investigations: Active DPSST Private Investigator Certification in good standingPreferred QualificationsExperience representing Oregon cities, counties, or special districts.Prior work with unions, collective bargaining agreements, or interest-based negotiation models.How to ApplyInterested candidates should: 1.
