Senior Cyber Security Analyst Position Summary LHH Recruitment Solutions is actively building a network of experienced Cyber Security Analyst for current and future opportunities with our clients across healthcare, financial services, technology, manufacturing, logistics, higher education, and other growing industries! Ideal candidates will have experience protecting the organization's networks, systems, applications, and data from cyber threats. Leading security monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, threat intelligence, and security investigations while supporting compliance and risk management initiatives. And combines deep technical expertise with strong analytical and communication skills to proactively identify and mitigate security risks. Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor, investigate, and respond to security incidents using SIEM, EDR, and threat detection tools.
  • Lead incident response efforts, including triage, containment, eradication, recovery, and root cause analysis.
  • Conduct threat hunting activities to identify emerging threats and potential vulnerabilities.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation efforts across infrastructure, applications, and cloud environments.
  • Analyze security logs, network traffic, and endpoint activity to detect suspicious behavior.
  • Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and incident response playbooks.
  • Support cybersecurity audits, compliance initiatives, and risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with IT, infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to strengthen security controls.
  • Research emerging threats, adversary tactics, and industry trends to improve the organization's security posture.
  • Mentor junior analysts and provide guidance on security best practices.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of cybersecurity, information security, or security operations experience.
  • Experience with SIEM platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar, or LogRhythm.
  • Strong understanding of incident response, threat detection, vulnerability management, and security operations.
  • Experience securing cloud environments (Azure, AWS, and/or GCP).
  • Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, CIS Controls, MITRE ATT&CK, ISO 27001, or SOC 2.
  • Strong knowledge of network security, firewalls, endpoint protection, identity management, and access controls.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Security+, CySA+, CISSP, GSEC, GIAC, or related cybersecurity certifications.
  • Experience with Microsoft Defender, SentinelOne, CrowdStrike, Qualys, Wiz, Tenable, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with scripting or automation using PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
  • Experience supporting regulatory compliance requirements such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOX, or NIST.
Technical Skills
  • SIEM: Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar
  • EDR/XDR: Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike, SentinelOne
  • Vulnerability Management: Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7

Typical Compensation Actual salary is based on experience, skills, education and individual opportunity. According to your LHH technology salary guide, a Systems/Application Security Analyst averages approximately $95K-$101K, while more senior cybersecurity leadership roles command significantly higher compensation.
