Job description

JOB TITLE: SERVICE SALES ENGINEER

DEPARTMENT: SALES

LOCATION: ATS Waypoint; Tampa, Florida

JOB SUMMARY:

A Service Sales Engineer (SE) develops long-term business to business relationships with ATS Waypoint customers. SE's work with our customers to define the scope and pricing for multi-year service support agreements, system upgrades, tenant improvement projects, and training. Our territory's primary focus is primarily central Florida. Our customer base includes but is not limited to data centers, hospital and healthcare facilities, government buildings, school districts, and higher education buildings.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Demonstrated ability to learn technical, complex systems

Desire to cultivate professional relationships

Strong time management and organizational skills

Strong communication and interactive skills

Ability to work independently and unsupervised

Ability to identify customer pain points and craft solutions

The ideal candidate should have some experience in the Building Controls industry.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Engineering/Business undergraduate degree (preferred)

Strong business acumen or MBA

Equivalent combination of education and experience

Building Mechanical systems experience

Professional business to business sales experience (preferred)

JOB DETAILS YOU SHOULD KNOW:

Sales Engineers earn base salary plus additional compensation in the form of commission and car allowance. Commissions are uncapped

This is a full-time, exempt position. Typical workdays are Monday-Friday

Local travel requires up to 30% of the time with occasional out-of-state travel

This position requires a combination of working in an office environment and routine visits to project jobsites up to 50% of working hours. Project jobsites present typical construction and outdoor conditions that require the use of personal protective equipment for safety purposes. The candidate must be comfortable climbing a ladder. Small repetitive motions and use of small tools is included.
