Where You Will Work:
The Emergency Department at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is a Level I adult and pediatric trauma center that provides emergency healthcare for all types of injuries and illnesses, from life-threatening conditions such as heart attacks or strokes to flu and viral illnesses. The Emergency Department at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist not only one of the first Emergency Medicine training programs in the country but continues to create the future of emergency care through patient care research and resident education. Our team consists of more than 30 board-certified emergency physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, experienced emergency nurses, sexual assault nurse examiners, forensic nurse examiners, social workers, case managers and other specially trained staff. The Adult ED offers diverse assignments such as Super Track, Standard Medical, Trauma Bays, Behavioral Health, and the Clinical Decision Unit. The Emergency Department at Atrium Health Wake Forest Medical Center is not only one of the first Emergency Medicine training programs in the country but continues to create the future of emergency care through patient care research and resident education.
Expectations We're Looking For:
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • ACLS are required within 6 months of hire
  • 2 years of ED experience preferred

What You'll Do:
• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
