Job description

RGNext employees execute and report on theater and strategic offensive and defensive ballistic missile testing and support space situational awareness operations and experiments, using a wide array of highly sophisticated radar, telemetry and optical sensors to meet the needs of our nation in defending the United States and its interests.

This overseas position is located on Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands. It is an accompanied position (eligible for dependents).

What You Will Do:

  • Provide Technical Leadership and mentoring for fellow engineers and technicians in the group.
  • Provide operations & maintenance support for C-band and Ka-band radar hardware systems.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot and repair various pieces of commercial and custom RADAR hardware.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance procedures and run system diagnostic software.
  • Lead and provide support for design and implementation of improvement and modernization (I&M) projects.
  • Install new equipment from third party suppliers.
  • Provide technical input about system configuration and performance.
  • Provide maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair to RF and high-power transmitter equipment, switchgears, analog/digital control hardware, circuit card assemblies, and high voltage systems.
  • Other Duties as assigned.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
  • Eight (8) or more years of related work experience.
  • Direct experience with field installation and testing, calibration, troubleshooting and acceptance testing.
  • Familiarity with Allen-Bradley PLCs, MatLab, SPICE Modeling, and test equipment like oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers.
  • Ability to read and create schematic diagrams, wiring lists, and assembly prints.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks; self-starter.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to balance, plan, prioritize, and execute projects.
  • Ability to work within a dynamic, fast paced environment with time constraints.
  • Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 45 lbs. independently.
  • Ability to work at heights up to 50 feet.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Must be able to relocate to the United States Army Garrison - Kwajalein Atoll, Marshall Islands.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. passport.
  • The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • MSEE or related engineering discipline
