Job description

About Atmosphere TV
Atmosphere is the leading streaming TV platform built specifically for businesses. Unlike ad networks or signage companies, Atmosphere is the only true TV company whose first priority is to entertain television audiences outside of the home. Our content is designed to be fun, engaging, and worth watching, transforming waiting rooms, gyms, bars, and restaurants into better experiences for customers and better businesses for owners.
We are the first and only company to think about both the business owner and their customers when creating TV content. With 55,000+ venues and a global audience of over 150 million monthly viewers, Atmosphere is redefining what TV means outside the living room.
About the role
Atmosphere is looking for an entertainment industry expert to serve as Director of Brand Partnerships, Entertainment, joining our National Ad Sales team, focused on the Los Angeles entertainment market. The Director will focus on selling video (TV, OTT/CTV, DOOH) advertising opportunities across our network of screens in over 55k venues across the US.
This role is truly a ground floor, exciting opportunity, as we have created a new advertising channel that gives brands the ability to reach folks they can't reach with traditional TV or video advertising. We are looking for a highly motivated, self-starter to evangelize our brand to agencies and clients directly throughout the Los Angeles entertainment market. We're not looking for an order taker or lone wolf, as we adhere to a team first, collaborative culture.
This is a remote role that must be based in Los Angeles, given the need for direct, in-market client relationships, and will report to the VP of Sales, West.
What you'll do
  • Own the full sales cycle: prospect, pitch, close, and renew accounts
  • Be able to articulate both direct IO and programmatic direct opportunities, as we are a buying agnostic platform
  • Introduce Atmosphere's unique offering to agency contacts, programmatic teams and client direct, educating the market on how best to allocate video dollars towards our platform
  • Manage RFP prioritization to weed out time wasters vs value-added relationships
  • Drive proactive outreach while collaborating with your sales support team
  • Use data analytics to boost narrative to clients
  • Own CRM responsibilities associated with your client list
  • Convey client feedback with recommendations based on this feedback to sales leadership
  • Proactively develop first to market campaign strategies that are unique to specific clients
  • Stay on top of industry trends, events, new technologies, unique opportunities
  • Push the envelope and be innovative.

Qualifications
  • 4-8 years of demonstrated advertising sales success including experience selling both IO and programmatic direct
  • Recognized entertainment industry expert, with deep category knowledge of how theatrical, streaming, and studio marketing budgets are planned and spent
  • Strong, client-direct relationships with the top entertainment companies (studios, streamers, networks) that you can use to immediately bring value to Atmosphere
  • Deep relationships with agencies and larger brands you've built over the years that you can use to immediately bring value to Atmosphere
  • Strong client references who can personally vouch for your relationships, credibility, and track record of results
  • Track record of building a multi-million dollar book of business from scratch - this is a hunter role focused on new business creation, not managing or growing an existing book
  • Experience selling a unique, emerging, or unconventional media platform and/or sales experience at a startup
  • Proven ability to work completely autonomously with minimal oversight; a true self-starter comfortable building a territory and pipeline from the ground up
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly for industry conferences, events, and in-person client meetings
  • Willingness to frequently entertain clients outside of normal working hours, including evenings and possibly weekends, as relationship-building in this role often happens outside the 9-to-5
  • Organization and communication skills to handle a large book of business
  • Strong background in TV/video and/or DOOH is highly desirable
  • Ability to build and foster relationships both internally and externally
  • Exceptional presenter with excellent negotiating skills
  • Ability to tailor pitch materials to each client
  • Know how to identify a need and close based on fulfillment of that need
  • Seek opportunity in challenge, rejection, and failure
  • Be someone your team WANTS to have a meal with at the end of a long day
  • Must be based in Los Angeles, CA - this is a remote role, but frequent in-market presence is required to build and maintain direct client relationships with entertainment clients
Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive base + commission structure
  • Company Equity
  • Company 401(k) with employer matching
  • Competitive insurance plans
  • Flexible Time Off Policy

The base salary range for this position is $170,000 - $180,000 + Commission. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skills, experience, and qualification for the role. In addition, this position may be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance.
