Job description

Salary: $73,160 - $110,000
Trace and analyze aeronautical navigation data through mission planning and aircraft avionics systems to recommend certification for Performance-Based Navigation.
Essential Job Functions:
Assure software compliance with CNS/ATM Performance Based Navigation and Mission Planning requirements.
Translate operator functionality requirements into a software system specification.
Review and update conceptual requirements, system specification documents, hardware and software interface requirements, and software designs to ensure compliance with functional requirements.
Utilize principles of systems engineering, and other engineering disciplines, to evaluate and recommend software solutions, and clarify requirements.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Bachelor's Degree in software engineering or related discipline with at least 3 years of experience.
Active secret security clearance, or eligibility to obtain an interim clearance prior to start date.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, experienced team member, ability to work closely with multiple diverse teams simultaneously, and the drive to contribute to program success.
Desired Skills:
Experience applying DO-200 requirements to ground station software development or applying DO-178 requirements to aircraft software development.
Understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations and CNS/ATM requirements.
Familiarity with DoD and NAVAIR acquisition processes and Systems Engineering Technical Reviews.
