Job description

BMW Senior/Master Technician — Atlas Motor Co
Raleigh, NC 27603 | Flat Rate: $35–$45/hr (DOE) | Full-Time

Our techs book 50–70 flat-rate hours on a 38-hour workweek.

That's not a typo. Because we recondition our own dealership inventory in addition to retail service, our shop never runs dry on billable work — most techs significantly out-earn the flat-rate hours they're actually clocked in for.

Shop Hours
Monday–Thursday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Friday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Closed weekends. 38 hours on the clock. No late nights, no grind.

The Tools
We invest in the equipment a real BMW tech needs to actually diagnose, not guess: ISTA, ProTool, and up-to-date Autel coverage. No fighting outdated software or generic OBD scanners to do your job.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Diagnose and repair advanced mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues on BMW and other European vehicles
  • Perform pre-sale inspections and reconditioning on dealership inventory (this is where your extra hours come from)
  • Use ISTA, ProTool, and Autel diagnostic platforms
  • Interpret wiring diagrams, service bulletins, and technical documentation
  • Maintain high standards with minimal comebacks

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years BMW service experience (or equivalent high-level European experience)
  • Strong diagnostic ability — you find the problem, not just replace parts until it goes away
  • Comfortable and efficient in a flat-rate environment
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record

Why Techs Choose Atlas Motor Co

  • Highest effective hourly earnings in the market — flat-rate pay with volume to back it up
  • Never short on work: in-house reconditioning means no slow days
  • 38-hour clock week, no weekends, real work-life balance
  • Boutique shop, high standards, zero dealership politics or flat-rate games
  • Retirement plan with company match
  • Clean, well-equipped shop with current diagnostic tooling
  • 8+ years serving the Raleigh BMW community, hundreds of 5-star reviews

Atlas Motor Co operates with Christian-based principles and a mission-driven culture — if that resonates with you, you'll feel at home here.
