Job Title: General Warehouse Worker (Second Shift)
We are seeking applicants to join our Atlantic Tire Distributors team in Ridgeville, SC. Shifts available:
11:00am - 7:00pm (Mon-Thurs), and 9:00am - until complete (Sunday)

Summary:
Manually and using powered equipment, move tires and stock materials in to and out of racked bins in a warehouse environment; perform other general labor as well as other duties as assigned by the manager. (You must not be afraid of heights, as use of an order picker at height is part of this position.)
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the competencies and/or ability required.
Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Operating a forklift and related equipment to load and unload trucks and move material within the warehouse.
  • Review shipments and advise management of shortages or damages shipments.
  • Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
  • Record numbers of units handled or moved, using daily production sheets, work tickets or handheld scanner.
  • Maintaining warehouse area in a neat and organized manner.
  • Compliance with OSHA regulations and safety requirements pertaining to this position.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Operation and Control- Controlling operations of equipment or systems.
  • Time Management- Managing one's own time.
  • Extent Flexibility- the ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs.
  • Static Strength- the ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects.
  • Operating Vehicles, Mechanized Devices, or Equipment- Running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts and order pickers.
  • Performing General Physical Activities- Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and handling of materials.
  • Inspecting Equipment, Structures, or Material- Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects.
  • Making Decisions and Solving Problems- Analyzing information and evaluation results to choose the best solution and solve problems.

Work Environment:
The environment may or may not be air conditioned/heated seasonally. The employee must regularly lift up to 100 pounds, frequently lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
