Job description

Job Purpose:ย  Ultimately responsible for preventative and diagnostic maintenance of equipment.


Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machinery and facility equipment
  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of machinery
  • Support with machine improvement and the installation of new equipment
  • Must have controls, robot programming, and automation experience
  • Complete TPM activities on workshop equipment
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and blueprints to perform required maintenance and service
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned by supervisor
  • Follow all OSHA and internal safety standards

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
  • Technical certification in mechanical, electrical, or other technical field preferred
  • 3-5 years verifiable experience in Industrial Maintenance
  • Specific experience maintaining stamping presses preferred
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Automation experience required
  • Well versed in standard preventative maintenance protocols
  • Proficient in use of hand tools, power tools, shop equipment and appropriate PPE
  • Proficient in metal cutting, welding, drilling and tapping
  • Working knowledge of PLC and relay logic control systems
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic devices and controls
  • Working knowledge of electrical distribution systems and LOTO procedures
  • Previous experience maintaining air compressors a plus
  • Previous experience programming automated equipment including robots
  • Ability to perform active job duties that require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing
  • Ability to lift and/or move 50 lbs
