Founded in 1915, Marietta Country Club is a member-owned club in Kennesaw, Georgia, located 28 miles from downtown Atlanta. The Club features 27 spectacular holes of Robert Cupp-designed golf, offering challenging risks and rewards for golfers of all skill levels. Set on historic Civil War era farmland, the Club's "three nines" yield vistas of Kennesaw Mountain, beautiful lakes, ponds, and streams.
The Tennis facility includes 8 immaculately maintained Hydro Court clay courts and 4 all-weather Laykold hard courts. The Club has a Fitness facility including a weight room, locker rooms, and a group fitness room. The Pool complex includes the pool, pool pavilion, and snack bar. The Clubhouse consists of the administrative offices, kitchen, member dining areas, lounge, and banquet facilities.

Job Summary
The individual in this position supports a la carte and private event food production while maintaining consistent food preparation and plate presentation for a la carte venues and catered events.
Job Duties and Tasks
  • Possesses a thorough knowledge of all menu items, ingredients, recipes, and preparation methods.
  • Maintains consistent food preparation and exceptional plate presentation.
  • Identifies and solves any problems related to food quality.
  • Must be a team player and accept constructive criticism.
  • Ability to read and follow recipes.
  • Possesses basic knife skills
  • Understands cooking vocabulary and instructions.
  • Must read and track tickets during service to determine what/when items need to be prepared.
  • Maintains effective communication with expediter and fellow employees throughout shift regarding item availability, status of working orders, and special circumstances.
  • Ability to use proper portioning techniques.
  • Assists all other employees, whenever possible, with any tasks necessary for effective guest focused restaurant operation.
  • Performs any task deemed necessary by managers for complete guest satisfaction.
  • Resolves any guest dissatisfaction or complaints with their dish.
  • Cleans station floors, counters, tools, cutting boards, and preparation surfaces to ensure cleanliness and sanitation at all times.
  • Follows safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements
  • At least 2 years’ experience as a Line Cook in a club, hotel, or fine dining establishment.
  • Performs well in a high-stress environment.
  • Maintains a positive attitude.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time, climb, balance, stoop, and kneel.
  • Must be able to lift 30-40 pounds and move objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to continually bend, reach, twist and use hands and arms.
  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must pass background check and E-Verify.
