Inspector II-Quality Assurance (7:00am-7:00pm)

Who we are looking for:
We are currently looking for Inspector II - Quality Assurance to be based out of Tampa, FL. Reporting to the Quality Insurance Lead, this person will be responsible for monitoring operations and processes to ensure products are being produced according to standards. Responsibilities include reviewing specifications, overseeing processes, and identifying defects in goods and materials. Quality Inspectors may also provide recommendations to improve the efficiency and accuracy of machinery and operations.
What you'll do:
Inspector II- Quality Assurance's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Perform regular audits in-process audits to ensure processes and products are in compliance with standards.
  • Run required tests such as dimensional, impact, burst, crush, and any other pertinent or requested test.
  • Ensure all equipment is calibrated and daily plausibility tests are done and recorded.
  • Keep a record of analysis, tests audit results, and any other Quality Documents.
  • Lead Quality New Hiring Training and Quality Training for Production Clerks.
  • Support Production troubleshooting problems in the lines.
  • Manage sample requests/returns (field returns)
  • Support Material trials.
  • Performing application testing in accordance with functional requirements
  • Gathering and organizing testing metrics, including bug tracking, to support testing activities.
  • Managing and maintaining test plans and test cases to achieve objectives.
  • Ensuring proper maintenance of QA test environments
  • Perform incoming inspection.
  • Assisting with test automation efforts.

What you'll bring:
  • 3-5 Years of previous experience in QA.
  • Associate degree and related experience.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a standard level of accuracy and organization.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with colleagues.
  • Ability to interpret complex construction plans and specifications.
  • Ability to write reports using Microsoft Word or Excel.
  • Ability to work with a fast-paced team in an aggressive construction environment.
  • Able to read and use Tape measures and math basic knowledge.
  • Strong ability to multitask, and work independently under pressure, and within tight deadlines.

Within 3 months, you'll:
  • Complete your Atkore immersion program.
  • Understand how your job will help deliver Atkore's strategy.
  • Gain an understanding of the business and team you work with and support.

Within 6 months, you'll:
  • Identify ways to strengthen you and your team's commitment to Atkore's core values of Accountability, Teamwork, Integrity, Respect, and Excellence.
  • Have a complete understanding of your position and its importance to daily operation.
  • Be able to test our products using UL specifications.
  • Make sure equipment and tools are calibrated.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $24.50 per hour. Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
