The Sr. Director, Procurement - Specialty Materials (SM) is responsible for leading strategic sourcing and procurement operations for ATI's Specialty Materials segment, representing more than $1 billion in annual spend. As a member of the Procurement and Specialty Materials Leadership Team, this leader develops and executes procurement strategies in partnership with enterprise procurement leadership that ensure supply continuity, cost competitiveness, operational excellence, and long-term value creation across raw materials, scrap, MRO, indirect goods and services, and selected capital expenditures.

The role serves as a strategic business partner to Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Finance, Commercial, and Enterprise Procurement leadership. This leader is accountable for procurement performance, supplier strategy, working capital optimization, risk management, and organizational capability development in support of ATI's growth, profitability, and customer commitments. The position is based at our Specialty Materials headquarters in Monroe, North Carolina, and is an onsite leadership role, reporting to the Chief of Supply Chain & Strategic Growth.

Qualification
Required:

  • 12+ years of progressive procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain, operations, or sourcing leadership

    manufacturing, mining, or related sectors
  • Experience managing large, strategic spend portfolios and developing sourcing strategies that improve cost, supply continuity, and operational performance

Preferred:

  • 15+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Experience in specialty metals, titanium, nickel-based alloys, stainless, or high-performance materials industries.
  • MBA or advanced degree
