Job description

Lipscomb Academy is seeking an Operations Coordinator and Bookkeeper.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process vendor setup requests, invoice payments and wire transfers to ensure timely disbursements.
  • Process all academy stipend payments, ensuring accuracy, proper documentation, and appropriate account coding.
  • Allocate expenses, prepare journal entries, and assist with quarterly budget reviews in the areas of Athletics, Operations and other areas as assigned.
  • Coordinate with Human Resources to ensure required new hire onboarding is complete 
  • Maintain accurate financial records while supporting department operations.
  • Assist the Director of Operations in coordinating facilities operations, summer programs, scheduling, and other departmental initiatives to support the efficient day-to-day operations of the academy.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience: 1–3 years of operations/bookkeeping 
  • Skills: Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures, exceptional attention to detail, and knowledge of financial reporting and accounting best practices. Excellent organizational and time management skills, strong written and verbal communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace.
