Job description

Be a part of the nationwide law enforcement initiative that removes the tools of crime from criminal organizations, depriving wrongdoers of proceeds from their crime and impacting the infrastructure of criminal enterprises.
FSA Federal (FSA) is focused on delivering unsurpassed services in support of law enforcement and homeland security. We currently have a vacancy for a Records Examiner/Analyst IV. In this role, you will be supporting the overall mission of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).
Responsibilities
  • Establish and enforce robust quality assurance protocols for data management, collaborating with legal and law enforcement teams to swiftly resolve discrepancies and uphold compliance standards.
  • Monitor the accurate and timely entry and updating of records in the case management system and designated databases, promoting adherence to quality benchmarks and a culture of excellence.
  • Track key metrics such as data entry accuracy, processing times, and compliance rates, delivering actionable recommendations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Plan and conduct comprehensive quality assurance audits to rigorously assess data integrity and reliability.
  • Implement a feedback mechanism where findings and insights are provided for management review and decision-making, and used to refine records and case management practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Ensure that corrective and preventive actions are implemented promptly when issues are identified and actively participate in improvement projects to uphold quality management principles.
  • Monitor and report the effectiveness of process improvements.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand their information needs and provide relevant data support.
  • Facilitate the development and refinement of standard operating procedures focused on quality management, offer training and mentorship to enhance team competencies in quality assurance practices.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned to support organizational excellence.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to criminal justice, business management or data analysis, with five years of professional experience, including at least three years in asset forfeiture. Additional experience and training may be substituted for education.
  • Quality certification a plus.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, research and resolve inefficiencies and inaccuracies in processes and systems.
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
  • Expertise in records management principles, with strong skills in reviewing, interpreting, and evaluating data.
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and analytical abilities.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills; experience in SharePoint and Visio preferred.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; a collaborative team player who maintains professionalism under pressure.

Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of ATF policies related to asset forfeiture and experience in ATF procedures for processing assets seized for forfeiture.
This position requires U.S. Citizenship and a 7 (or 10) year minimum background investigation
