With a highly differentiated and innovative product portfolio, onsemi creates intelligent power and sensing technologies that solve the world's most complex challenges and leads the way in creating a safer, cleaner, and smarter world.
This position offers a great opportunity to work on industry leading semiconductor devices, targeted for broad applications in Automotive and Industrial markets. In this role, you'll be a member of DfT and Test Technology Development team, tasked with driving ATE test automation supporting Analog/Digital test strategies across various product lines. In this role, your responsibility is to drive ATE test program generation tools. Knowledge and experience with software development using of C++/C[AC2] #/Python is necessary. Candidate should know ATE platform language and architecture to develop low-level ATE code for Analog/Mix Signal blocks to integrate DfT and test/HW design requirements. The end goal is to design and productize deep Analog and Mixed-Signal test automated solutions that are high in efficiency and that enable organization benchmarks for targeted test cost and cycle time.
As a key member of the DfT and Technology Development Product Engineering Team, you will serve as an ATE Application Engineer with primary responsibility for defining, developing, and deploying automated test solutions that enable efficient new product development and high-volume production testing. This role requires deep hands-on expertise in ATE platforms ( ETS800, T200, V93K etc.) , test method development, and software automation, along with strong cross-functional leadership.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
  • Own and lead the definition, architecture, and development of state-of-the-art ATE automation solutions used by New Product Development engineers.
  • Drive ATE test automation strategy, including the development of test program generation utilities, reusable frameworks, and standardized test method libraries for existing and new IPs.
  • Act as a hands-on ATE application engineer, providing deep technical expertise in Analog / Mixed-Signal semiconductor test methods and on-tester debug.
  • Design, develop, and maintain production-ready automation software using C, C++, Python, or Java, with the ability to enhance and refactor legacy codebases.
  • Collaborate directly with ATE vendors (e.g., Advantest, Teradyne) to develop and support low-level tester automation and platform-specific solutions.
  • Provide primary ATE automation support to New Product Development teams, from early silicon bring-up through production ramp.
  • Apply strong understanding of ATE system architectures (e.g., ETS-800, T2000/T2K, iFlex) to optimize test flow, performance, and cost.
  • Participate as a core contributor in cross-functional teams (Design, DfT, BU Product Engineering) to deliver low cost-of-test solutions for complex analog and mixed-signal IPs in high-volume manufacturing.
  • Serve as the technical interface and advocate between ATE vendors, BU Product Engineers, and Design teams to define automation requirements, align on test strategies, and ensure execution against agreed checklists and milestones.

Qualifications
