Role Summary

McAfee is seeking a visionary and customer-obsessed Director of Product Management, Web Protection & Browser Security to lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution of our Web Protections portfolio, including Web Advisor and other browser-based security experiences. This leader will define how McAfee protects consumers from evolving online threats across browsers, web platforms, and emerging AI-powered environments while creating seamless, trusted experiences that help people stay safe online without disruption.

Reporting into Product leadership, this role sits at the intersection of cybersecurity, consumer experience, browser technologies, artificial intelligence, and platform strategy.

This is a Hybrid role based in one of our hub locations i.e. San Jose, CA; New York, NY; Frisco, TX; Newport Beach, CA. We are only considering candidates who are currently in a commutable distance to these locations at this time and are not offering relocation assistance.

Translate Web Threats Into Trusted UX
  • Partner with Design, Content, Research, and Engineering to convert complex and invisible web risks into calm, clear, non-intrusive experiences that help consumers understand what is happening and what to do next.
Lead Browser And Platform Strategy
  • Navigate the evolving browser ecosystem—including Chromium, WebExtensions APIs, Safari and Firefox architectures, web protocols, content filtering mechanics, and privacy policy changes to guide durable product strategy.
Protect Users From Emerging AI And Agentic Risks
  • Anticipate how consumers will use generative AI and autonomous agents through the browser, then shape protections against emerging risks such as prompt injection, malicious autonomous agents, data scraping, automated scams, and other AI-driven web threats.
Turn R&D Into Consumer-Ready Products
  • Partner deeply with Advanced R&D, threat research, data science, and engineering teams to translate technical security research and behavioral model data into a prioritized roadmap that delivers customer value.

About You
  • 10+ years of product management experience, including leadership responsibility for consumer technology, cybersecurity, SaaS, browser-based products, or related technology platforms.
  • Deep understanding of web technologies, browser ecosystems, extension platforms, web protocols, privacy frameworks, and online security trends.
  • Proven success defining product vision, strategy, roadmaps, and execution for large-scale products that deliver measurable customer and business outcomes.
  • Experience translating complex technical capabilities, security risks, and research innovations into intuitive, customer-centric product experiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively across Engineering, Design, Research, Data Science, Threat Research, and other cross-functional teams in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Proven people leader with experience building, developing, and inspiring high-performing product teams, establishing a culture of accountability, innovation, and results.
