The new therapist will play a critical role in providing compassionate care and evidence-based therapy to clients, helping them navigate their mental health challenges. This position offers a competitive yearly salary ranging from $70,000 to $80,000, reflecting the incumbent's experience and clinical expertise.

About the Organization

At Solace Sanctuary Counseling, we are committed to fostering mental wellness in Macon, Georgia, and the surrounding areas. We serve a diverse clientele, with a mission to make mental health care accessible to everyone in our community. Our clinic is staffed by an experienced team of licensed professionals who value inclusivity and teamwork, ensuring clients receive holistic and effective therapeutic interventions.

Work Environment

As a remote worker, you will benefit from the flexibility of managing your time while maintaining a collaborative relationship with our multidisciplinary team. Regular virtual meetings with other therapists, case managers, and medical professionals will facilitate a cohesive approach to client care. Our clinic strongly emphasizes creating a supportive and inclusive atmosphere for both clients and therapists, promoting professional growth and integration of feedback.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to gather pertinent history and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique needs.
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions through diverse methods such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and various group therapy modalities.
  • Collaborate closely with medical professionals, including psychiatrists, to coordinate a holistic care approach, ensuring clients receive comprehensive support.
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed, offering immediate assistance to clients in acute distress or high-risk situations, and devising safety plans.
  • Engage actively in community outreach initiatives to raise awareness about mental health resources and reduce stigma, assisting in workshops and educational programs.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse client population, including individuals from various cultural, socioeconomic, and ethnic backgrounds. The clinic addresses a wide range of mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse. An understanding and appreciation for cultural competence is essential to effectively build rapport and promote healing in our community.

Qualifications
  • A current license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) is required.
  • A master's degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for building therapeutic alliances with clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to work sensitively and competently with individuals from diverse backgrounds and communities.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to ensure accurate documentation and effective management of caseload.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in a community mental health setting is preferred, particularly with high-risk populations.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and client management.
  • Previous engagement in community outreach programs or mental health education efforts is a plus.
  • Experience working remotely and maintaining client relationships through virtual platforms.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive annual salary of $70,000-$80,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
  • Comprehensive health benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Professional liability insurance to provide peace of mind while serving clients.
  • Generous paid time off policy, including vacation days and holidays to support work-life balance.
  • Opportunities for professional development through continuing education programs and training workshops.
  • A collaborative team environment with ample supervision and support to encourage personal and professional growth.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Solace Sanctuary Counseling, we prioritize the growth of our team members. As part of our commitment to continuous learning, therapists have access to professional development resources, mentoring, and opportunities for advancement within the organization. You will have the chance to expand your skill set in various therapeutic approaches and leadership roles if desired.

Why Join Our Team

You will join a family of supportive peers committed to improving mental health outcomes and accessibility for all. Together, we can create a lasting change in the lives of those we serve.
