Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to determine the mental health needs of clients, creating individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
• Implement various therapeutic modalities, providing individual, group, and family therapy to address a wide range of mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship concerns.
• Engage in collaborative care by working closely with case managers, psychiatrists, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive support for each client.
• Deliver crisis intervention services effectively, ensuring immediate support for clients experiencing acute emotional distress or emergencies.
• Participate in community outreach and educational initiatives to raise awareness about mental health issues and promote resources within the local community.

Qualifications

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• Demonstrated proficiency in communication and interpersonal skills essential for building rapport and establishing effective therapeutic relationships with clients.
• Cultural competence and sensitivity to navigate the needs of diverse populations effectively and inclusively.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain detailed and accurate documentation for compliance and treatment tracking.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in outpatient mental health settings, particularly within community health centers.
• Familiarity with various therapeutic techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and trauma-informed care.
• Skills in crisis intervention and conflict resolution.
• Community engagement experience and involvement in outreach programs focusing on mental health education and advocacy.
