Purpose of Position
Our Human Resources leaders care deeply about the employee experience and support FSIs mission to prepare aviation professionals around the world to save lives through exceptional training experiences. The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing HR administrative support to the HR Leadership Team. Partners with HRBP and Sr. HRBP to provide consultive business partnership to specific FSI business function or learning centers to help develop and execute HR strategies that foster organization effectiveness. This individual manages multiple priorities and therefore, the ideal candidate must thrive in a fast-paced, frequently changing environment and effectively work through ambiguity.
Tasks and Responsibilities
• Maintains general knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance, partnering with HR Leader
• Under the guidance of HR Leadership, conduct and or support low risk investigations to include overview of situation, plan of action, interviews with teammates, summarization of situation, discussion with management team, recommendation, and implementation of next steps.
• Assist HRBP and/or Senior HRBP with the creation and implementation of programs to promote teammate engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
o Stay interviews and monthly/quarterly roundtable/feedback sessions.
• Coordinate and participate in employment and recruiting activities (for instructors and CS staff) with Corporate Talent Acquisition organization.
• Out-processing/Exit interviews and Retirement process
• New Hire Orientation (in some locations OAs are doing this)
• Injury reporting close out.
• Support the Employee Accommodation requests for centers they are responsible for
• Manage employee transfer eligibility and bonus tracker (transfers between legal entity, good standing, etc.)
• Ensures Company policies are administered fairly and consistently for compliance, internal equity, and application.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Light travel
Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Marketing, Communications or a related field or, a combination of education and work experience equivalent to the knowledge, skills and abilities. PHR/SPHR accreditation or similar HR professional qualification preferred.
