Responsibilities for a Memory Care Director at Phoebe Berks:
The Memory Care Director is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and daily operations of the Personal Care Memory Care neighborhood/program within the CCRC. This position ensures the delivery of compassionate, resident-centered dementia care while promoting a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for residents, families, and staff. The Memory Care Director oversees programming, staffing, compliance, quality outcomes, family communication, and operational performance to enhance the quality of life for residents living with memory impairment.
Requirements for a Memory Care Director at Phoebe Berks:
- Bachelorโs degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Social Work, Gerontology, Recreational Therapy, or a related field preferred, with a minimum of 3โ5 years of leadership experience in senior living, dementia care, assisted living, skilled nursing, or healthcare operations, our human services preferred.
- Experience working with residents living with Alzheimerโs disease and related dementias is strongly preferred.
- Candidates must demonstrate strong leadership, communication, organizational, problem-solving, and team development skills, along with knowledge of dementia care best practices, memory support programming, regulatory compliance standards, and the ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
