Job description

Northgate Resorts owns and manages the most awarded Camp-Resort portfolio in the nation. Our passion is creating family camping memories for our guests – memories that will last a lifetime! We don’t do this as individuals but as a passionate team that cares about making a difference in our guests’ lives. We endeavor to be a highly effective, lean, and fast-moving organization.
The Restaurant Supervisor (age 18+) will direct the day-to-day operations and activities in the restaurant. Duties include managing personnel, collecting payments, monitoring budgets, and evaluating restaurant, bar, and banquet room performance. This is a SEASONAL, full-time or part-time position and reports to the Food and Beverage Manager
DUTIES amp; RESPONSIBILITIES
  • General Duties
    • Manage all restaurant team members
    • Optimize profits by controlling costs
    • Ensure product quality and outstanding customer service
    • Maintain inventory of food and supplies
    • Monitor and maintain compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
    • Monitor cash drawers and ensure cash handling procedures are followed
  • Administrative Duties
    • Collect payments and maintain records of budgets, funds, and expenses
    • Assist with project management on any remodeling or construction efforts at the restaurant
    • Complete required reports on a timely basis
    • Schedule staff, monitor payroll, and maintain compliance with labor budget
    • Participates in the recruitment process and selection of talent for the department
  • Other Essential Duties
    • Collaborate with park and home office departments
    • Coordinate and oversee various projects from start to finish
    • Respond to guest inquiries using the company’s service recovery guidelines
    • Utilize and learn reservation system for daily planning
    • Participate in other projects and activities as assigned
EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in food service management or equivalent
  • Proper State’s Food Manager Certification required
  • Responsible Management of Alcohol Certification required
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
  • Strong attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • A strong work ethic and a positive attitude
  • Required to work nights, mornings, weekends, and holidays
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Maintain a positive work environment by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, vendors, coworkers, and management
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position, occasionally in warm temperatures
  • Occasional exposure to hot equipment and oil throughout the workday
  • Continuously climb, balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, and crawl
  • Able to manipulate fingers, hands, and arms to reach, carry, serve, etc.
